Yes, the mountains are calling, and if you’re like us, you can’t help but listen. Nature’s siren song draws us all into the outdoors with promises of both summits to climb, and endless acres of peace and quiet. From rolling expanses of red rock, to lush forest crags, there’s something for everyone, all filled with experiences that no one can forget.
When the mountains came calling for us, we were inspired to create a company to support outdoor adventure and escape — a company that encourages and promotes the outdoor mountain lifestyle and our motto of Live Tough. But we wanted that outdoor company to be more than a company — we wanted it to be a community, one of both novices and pros, all unified by a love for the great outdoors and a desire to tackle life’s many challenges in pursuit of its greatest rewards.
Mountain Corps isn’t just our company, it’s your community. It was founded in the mountains, for the mountains so that when you hear the call, you’ll be more than ready.
After being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2021, Mountain Corps owner Brett Anderson decided to start a non-profit corporation, The Last Big Ride Foundation, to raise money for Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness, as well as to help uninsured and under-insured patients afford expensive, but necessary, oxygen equipment.
Love makes people do crazy things. For Brett and Karie Anderson, it was a love for the outdoors that gave them the crazy idea to launch an outdoor lifestyle company with uncompromising standards for quality, durability, and usability.
Live Tough is their motto, and it was born not from circumnavigating the globe or summiting Everest, but from lives filled with real-world trials — the kind that prove life’s sweetest rewards are only found after bitter struggle. For Brett, it was kicking childhood cancer in the teeth to achieve his dream of becoming a commercial airliner pilot. And despite painful personal losses throughout her life, Karie leaned on her love of the Colorado mountains to become a successful outdoor and wildlife photographer.
Together, they created Mountain Corps. And no matter how you Live Tough, you’re invited to join their ranks.
